Hard Bodies Personal Trainers will assist its clients in achieving their health and fitness goals through the implementation of the following plan of action(s):•Weekly-altered workout routines – Clients experience a new workout every week in order to provide a well-rounded exercise program that takes into consideration all areas of the body and the various muscle groups. All one-hour sesions are diagramed by our personal trainers on a personal trainer-client spreadsheet for maximum impact. This documentation is then used to show the client the progress made. On a week to week bases by incorparating new workout routines so that it keeps a fresh perspective in the clients mind on the excersises being tought to them by there personal trainer.

Results are documented and updated accordingl • Monthly body composition measurements - Each client has his/her body composition percentages determined on a monthly basis. Body composition includes consideration of lean tissues with relation to fatty tissues. The ratio of lean to fatty tissue is one additional factor that is considered in the determination of the overall health of the client. Results are documented and updated accordingly. • Dietary guidelines and counseling – Each client is given a nutritional plan to assist them in there fitness goals. Fitness Assessment
The fitness assessment is done in order to provide you and I with baseline information. It is extremely valuable for developing your exercise program and to compare later as you progress, improve and your body changes over time.
If you are not in the program but would like to get a baseline for your fitness progression a private fitness assessment is available at no charge. This is a good idea if you are planning on taking any of our drop-in classes.
Pre - assessment information:
Wear comfortable clothing.
Avoid a heavy meal, alcohol and caffeine for at least 3 hours before test.
Drink plenty of fluids during the 24 hours preceding the test.
Avoid strenuous exercise on the day of the test.
Get plenty of sleep.
Components of a Fitness Assessment:
1. Assess resting heart rate and blood pressure *
2. Assess body composition (e.g. skinfolds, waist-to-hip ratio
and girths).
3. Assess cardiorespiratory fitness (3-Minute Step Test or
Rockport Walking Test).
4. Assess Muscular strength and/or endurance (e.g., push-up
and Partial curl-up test.)
5. Assess flexibility (e.g., Sit and Reach Test) and posture.
6. Assess balance
*Resting heart rate:
You will be here in a relaxed environment when we take this measurement. It is important for you to know that a true resting heart rate is obtained first thing in the morning when you are completely relaxed, before getting out of bed. Since even a true resting heart rate fluctuates, it is best to take measurements on three consecutive days and take the average. These tests are not for diagnostic/medical purposes but for assessment of fitness levels.
